TRANSFORMATIONS
TRANSFORMATIONS ll
Journey to four communities undergoing dramatic societal change as the invading, transforming presence of God alters everything. From a hillside metropolis formerly run by Colombian drug lords to a rural village in Kenya, these thoroughly-documented case studies illustrate what happens when God’s people petition God to return—and He does!
This powerful sequel to Transformations: A Documentary delves into the challenging histories of the nation of Uganda and eastern Canada’s arctic provinces, and visits the scene of a dramatic revival that occurred in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides.
AN UNCONVENTIONAL WAR
LET THE SEA RESOUND
One of the most moving and meaningful answers to prayer has been the return of thousands of abducted children, many from godly households, and their reunion with their praying parents. Many have returned with accounts of divine protection and deliverance. An Unconventional War is, in large part, their story.
Today’s Fiji bears no resemblance to its former self. Visit villages where God has supernaturally healed poisoned streams and banished destructive wild pigs that devastated crops. Hear repeated testimonies of how depopulated fishing grounds suddenly swarmed with vast quantities of fish and crabs – too many to harvest – as villagers dedicated themselves to the Lord.
A FORCE FOR CHANGE
AN APPALACHIAN DAWN
The São Paulo police force was corrupt, brutal, and despised. In 2003, however, several senior officers saw the Transformations documentary and major changes began to unfold. Godly strategies emerged leading to dramatic turnarounds in the city’s most violent neighborhoods. Now other police forces across the nation are asking how they can replicate this success.
By the early 2000s, the situation in this community was so bleak that any family that could was fleeing to greener pastures. Those who stayed behind fought a running battle with hopelessness as illicit drugs threatened to consume an entire generation.
And then it happened. As a desperate band of believers cried “Enough!” the Presence of God descended on the town of Manchester, and transformed it into the City of Hope.
THE HEBRIDES REVIVAL
THE QUICKENING
In October of 2007, George Otis , Jr., along with son Brook and a small team, returned to the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. Their purpose was to meet the extraordinary revivals that occurred here in the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s and early 50’s.
Plans are in place to return again soon to these islands, so rich in spiritual history, and more fully capture the story of revival that is now emerging among the youth. In the meantime, we hope this “remembrance” of how and why God moved – at this time and into this place – will provide fresh encouragement to all those who seek Him today for such an outpouring.
The Quickening delivers the next level of intensive training and encouragement to Christians everywhere who have set a course toward transforming revival in their own communities and nations. Re-visit several of the communities that have experienced transformation in recent years, meet the catalytic leaders of these stories, and listen to their conclusions about why God came into their midst.
IT’S ONLY COOKIE DOUGH
As the drills, conveyors, and whistles went silent, community porches and meal tables were emptied of life. Christmas lights blinked out, and summer parades were no more. In time, the community’s complexion was marred by rusting mine equipment, broken windows, and collapsed roofs. Drugs and rain seeped in, while hope for the future seemed to trickle out on the silt-laden waters of Looney Creek.
Only it didn’t. Just when Lynch’s story looked like it was ending, things started to get interesting. Behind the scenes, a handful of desperate prayer warriors would not let go!
